Had to take door locking mechanism off to replace seal, perhaps there is something we have omitted. Do you have any advice on how to correct this ?
- check that electric fitting is connected properly, too interlock mech, or it might need replacing, they blow very easy, it wont start the cycle if not connected properly, or if blown, if the door is tight, it cud be the wrong door seal too,
The door is physically closed but the light is flashing to say the door is not shut. I think I need the interlock but would like any other suggestions before purchasing this item. Would this also come with instructions on how to replace? Thanks Claire

Hi liz, it sounds like you'll need to replace the door interlock.
Is this a common problem with WM failure of this switch?

Hi Cfmit This part is handled by the user and therefore maybe more susceptible to damage than interal parts.
mine has not got any screws just rubber bumps do you transfer from old door lock to new one or do you have to use screws
In your video about replacing the interlock switch, you say there is a clip to be removed to release a retaining ring around the seal. On my hotpoint WMA66P I could not see this clip or the retaing ring. Can you plesase advise how to remove the seal on my model. Many Thanks
I ran a rinse program to check for leaks, and now the door won't unlock. Could The interlock be faulty or is it likely to be something else. Programs run when selected, but the door will not release.
Will this part fit my appliance?
