Hi Goldenball, without actually seeing your pressure washer, it is impossible to tell what is causing this problem. What I would advise is talking to your local Karcher or washer specialist and they should be able to diagnose the problem for you. And that's where we come in! With thousands of Karcher spares, we're bound to have the part for you.

Answer this question

Just bought a faulty K 3.99M. Previous owner states that water trickles out of the Outlet, but pours out of the air slots in the case. On inspection I noticed my K399M has a different Control Head. It uses VERSION 2 in the Karcher Spare Parts List- Part No: 90012670. The INLET hole has the square section for the Metal Fork as PART of the Control Head, and seems to use a different Inlet Elbow to the model required for the 90011040 Control head.

Hi/ The Presure Washer Control head on my 411 has split and needs replacing, you stock the replacement part code 90011040, I have taken the washer head off the machine but can not find a way to part it from the alloy head?? it looks like it is just pressed in but how do I detach it from the metal. Rob.

  • I used a 2 legged bearing puller, the 2 leg feet on the either side of the casting and the jacking screw pushing down the centre inside the plastic tube of the control head. By Teco - Aylesbury Bucks - 30 March 2009

I have a K4.99M and see that both of these fit my model. I have taken out the faulty part and it looks like the other one and not this one but I don't need any of the other bits. How can they both fit the same model if they are different shapes?

Hi Billp, I have confirmed with Karcher themselves that this is the only control head that will fit the K4.99M. I have removed the listing from the other product. Thanks for the heads up!

Answer this question

Model 411A has leak beneath metal cover of control head causing loss of pressure. I am unable to see the point of leakage and have replaced the valve assembly. The fault is still the same and there is no obvious fault with the control head but I am now thinking it is to do with the control mechanism in the head and the assosiated seals. There is a white internal nozzle in the centre of the tube when viewed from the triangle face and a filter type push fitting when viewed from the larger round port. I would like the control head and both of these fittings with all the seals to reassemble the control head to the pump. Can you tell me the part numbers and cost. Thanks Charlie

  • No it is only the control valve. All the other parts need to be transferred from the old valve - not difficult though! By gloss - Manchester - 09 March 2009

Hi Mattox I'm afraid I couldn't locate part number 9.036-686 in our database of Karcher parts, however this is definitely the control head for the K3.99M. Maybe the part you are referring to has a different name? The o-ring seal for your washer can be found here: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/pressure-washers/karcher/k3.99m/p/1315/877/0/507562/537802/o-ring-seal---pack-of-5.html and the triangular seal can be found here: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/pressure-washers/karcher/k3.99m/p/1315/877/0/507562/538518/seal.html

Hi Gferg189 The pressure washer control head comes with top pistons and large triangular rubber ring. I apologise for the picture not being too great, we will try to get a better one taken!
