I'm almost in tears as I unscrewed my oven door on my DC543S to clean it and the inside plate on the lower part has dropped. please help. Is there anyway to fix this please. I've tried to find the plate with wire and its not working. 1 Answer

There is little information on the exploded diagrams we have but if there is no screw threads to hold the hinge screws it is likely that a fixing plate has slipped. To access this you may have to take the side panel off the appliance.
how do you change the hinge as know the screws go into a plate behind the front of cooker. detailed help much appreciated. thanks 1 Answer

there is often a metal plate behind the front panel that the hinge is screwed to. To replace the hinge loosen both screws and remove one to allow the hinge bracket to be twisted away before fitting the first screw to hold the plate. then remove the second screw and replace the bracket before removing and refitting the first screw into its correct position.
