  Connectors Reversed 05 February 2019

  My machine (Hotpoint Ultima WMD960) was overflowing during the rinse section of the cycle. Water was still entering the machine despite it trying to pump out. Shut off the water supply and turn it back on again and the flow stopped. Concluded that the inlet valve must be sticking in the open position. Replaced the valve with this part and all is now okay. My only criticism is that the electrical connectors on the new valve are in the the opposite direction to the original valve. This means that the wires to the connector blocks have to be bent very tightly against the plastic channel that leads to the powder tray. I'm a bit concerned that over time the vibrations of the machine will cause the wires to the connector blocks to be worn away.
