Washing Machine Door Seal Stock Number: ES865138
Genuine spare part for select models of Hotpoint, Ariston and Indesit washing machines
My indesit front loader xwe 91483 is dirty but I cannot see a crack in door seal. A piece of cardboard under front of machine indicates a small leak in middle front. Could it be the door seal? 1 Answer
xwe 91483 is displayed on front of machine. It was bought in Tenerife Spain.

It is likely to be the door seal, check for a hole in the seal.
Hi, My Hotpoint WT540 is making a noise on fast spin. It does not do it at any other time leading me to suspect that its not the bearings. After some examination I suspect the drum to be rubbing against part of the door seal. After looking at your excellent youtube video on how to change it I reckon thats easy enough. However is that the probable culprit? And you give me the options of three WT540s, My machine simply says WT540 on it, no suffix?? Thanks in anticipation : )

Check for play by lifting the inner edge and see if the gap changes as this may indicate worn bearings or a failed drum spider. If the inner drum is not buckled and the rim gap remains even as you turn the drum. If slightly out at one point use a piece of wood and a hammer to carefully knock true.
New seal for washing machine but requires a thew slams to get door to lock is this normal and will it get better with time it is the correct part 1 Answer

A new door seal is naturally going to be a tighter fit and will mould to the gap as it is repeatedly heated during washing. If the seal fitted the machine and does not leak then it is going to be the correct seal. You could compare with a machine in a showroom as they too are likely to be difficult to close at first.
My machine is a WF220. The machine range quotes a letter after the 220. Do you have a rubber that will fit this machine ?

The suffix letter 'G' refers to the cabinet colour Graphite or grey and this seal will fit your machine.
I have the wdf740 Washer/dryer - can you point me at video for replacing door seal on this machine? 1 Answer
I have the wdf740 Aquarius Hotpoint Washer/dryer - can you point me at video for this repair on this machine as I have the seal now, but the front is not removable on my machine?? Thanks

The closest video we have for this repair is: how to replacement an AEG washing machines door seal in our advice centre. It will be necessary (and a little difficult) to remove and fit this seal through the door opening.
I purchased a new door seal with the intention of replacing it myself. However, the front of my WML540 seems to be spot welded and not attached with screws as shown in the video. I cant see how to get to the drum to remove that side of the seal. Any suggestions how to proceed? Thanks

It should be possible to carry out this repair through the door porthole. Try leaning the machine back against a wall to make more space between the front of the drum and the cabinet.

I have fitted this seal on to my Hotpoint WT540/1P....but the door won't close, it seems that the seal is too big and now the door doesn't fit inside it??? Anything I can do? 1 Answer
I followed the instructions on the how to video...the seal Itself is fitted well, it just appears that the outer lip is too big for the door...
- I guess you have solved the problem by now, but if the seal is the correct one and the fitting is correct, the product must be faulty. Did you try refitting? I did mine no trouble at all. Best of luck.
Is this the only part I need - I want to replace a mouldy rubber seal - do I need fitments as well? 1 Answer

Hi EF, if the only problem with the washing machine is that the seal is mouldy, and all other parts remain intact, then you'll only need to replace the seal. For help fitting the door seal, check out the video.
Will this part fit my appliance?
