Water level too low and water does not heat up. Is this a heater problem or inlet valve problem or both 1 Answer

We believe if it has not filled to the correct level it will not heat, check the inlet system and the pressure switch before suspecting anything else.
When my Bosch Dishwasher should be filling with water the water hose makes a repeated knocking sound . 1 Answer
When I add water by opening the door, the Machine stops knocking and carries on working perfectly . It sounds and feels like the input valve is quickly opening and closing repeatedly several times at intervals of less than a second

This can be a common problem on Bosch machines caused by grease build up in the fill hose entering the sump causing water to back up and trip the overfill float. Try running a cleaner like: Stock Number ES1566874 through the machine to disperse the grease to avoid dismantling.
my bosch dishwasher is making the sound that is struggling to start I have got to the solenoid ?

Bosch do not give us this info but these are normally mains voltage. A common fill problem on Bosch is caused by grease build-up restricting water filling, try using Stock Number ES1566874 before suspecting the valve.
My machine will not fill, I have checked inlet pipe for blockages and the machine empties when filled manually. The check water supply light illuminates when machine is powered up. I have checked the resistance on the inlet valve I have a reading of 80.4 ohms.

Bosch dishwasher slowly fills with water when not in use. Is it the solenoid valve at fault? If so, is it easy to fit new one, as I'm always nervous about snapping plastic tabs on what looks to be valve mounting plate? Thanks 1 Answer

Turn the tap off to confirm a leaky valve. if it continues filling check the drain hose is not back filling from the sink waste.
Bosch SGS69L12GB/18 Not enough pressure to drive the arms round. have checked hose, filters, inlet valves, supply filters etc. hose not kinked.

If there is no restriction and the arms spin easily the problem is likely to be the motor capacitor or the motor itself.
My Dishwasher model SGS5002GB/07 really bangs and makes the cold water pipes bang when the shut off valve activates, how can I overcome this problem, would a double check valve help or would I need to have the cold water feed shut off valve replaced ? 1 Answer

Loose pipework will often move when shut off quickly as the water stops suddenly. It is not likely that changing the valve would improve this. It may be worth talking to a plumber for advice on this.
my 11 year old bosch dishwasher makes lots of thumping noises when filling, and have been led to believe this could be the solenoid water valve as above. could you tell me if this is an easy job to replace by an average d.i.y. er ,or does it need a professional.? as on utube. a similar valve looked easy to fit.

A common problem on Bosch dishwashers is the water filling and emptying repeatedly until the water has filled the base. This is usually caused by the hose to the sump from the overfill float chamber being restricted with grease build up. Run the machine empty with a sachet of cleaner like Stock Number: ES1566874 and the grease will dissolve and clear.
The pump sounds as if it running dry

Chris at eSpares says...
It is likely the pump bearings are worn and the motor may fail before to long. If in a hard water area it is possible a build up of limescale in the pump may be rubbing on the seals and using a cleaner like Stock Number: ES1566874 may clear or improve it.
