Centre right of the image are two thermal cut outs or thermostats. If you stop the dryer when hot the heat from the element can increase momentarily as the fan stops and cause these to fail. check and replace if required and always allow the cycle to finish as this will cool down the element and prevent the problem reoccurring.
Hello my heater element is working but when the Dryer changes direction the element goes off and Will not start again unless you reset the dryer ! Would it be the element or the thermostat ? Also One of the plastics clips is slightly melted. Hope you can help, thanks

Check if it is a condenser dryer that it is not shutting off due to water not being cleared from the reservoir to the water tank. This will stop the heater to prevent leaking and flooding.
i have just fitted a replacement heater element supplied by yourselves and still don't have any heat to my dryer. Please could you advise me what to do next . 1 Answer

If changing the element hasn't resolved the issue it could be that the thermostat has tripped or developed a fault, in which case you'll need to replace it.
Will this part fit my appliance?
