on dyson dc25 animal i have unscrewed the chrome plate. but im unsure what to do next

The head is turned off when the machine is upright in the parked position by a switch on the yolk assembly. Check this switch is not stuck and operating correctly.

This part comes as the complete head including the brush bar.

This fits a number of DC25 machines and may fit them all but without full model information we cannot be sure it fits yours.
I was using my dyson when it sparked from the head assembly I am assuming that the brushes or the motor has blown and I think it comes as a compleat replacement part. Am I in the right direction?.
