There is a video attached to the part which will show you how to replace the door catch, make sure you take photos of the door and the set up of the catch before you take it apart.

This is only a 'mechanical' door catch and does not have electrical connections. The dryer may have a 'peg' at the top of the door that passes into the machine to operate the 'door switch'.
Hi I have replaced the broken plastic door catch on my hoover vhv381 but the latch on the main part of the machine is now set in the locked position, meaning it can't close the door. I've tried turning the machine off at mains and forcing the latch open with a screwdriver but no luck. How do I replace the part? Looks like I would access it internally, but I'm no expert. Help!

The lock only holds the door closed. The machine is turned on by the operating peg Stock Number: ES493450 at the top centre of the door going through the front panel and pushing the switches behind.
