can you tell me how the release of the detergent dispenser is triggered. A replacement dispenser purchased from you is fitted and the operating solenoid energises when main switch is operated. 1 Answer

The dispenser is powered from the control board. If the solenoid is continually energised when the power is turned on the control board is likely to be faulty and require replacing.

The video attached to the part should help you understand how this is fitted on most dishwashers.
My AEG favorit dishwasher needs a new detergent dispenser. It is a semi integrated model so it has a wooden decor panel. How do I remove,if necessary, withot damaging the washer 1 Answer

This should be in your installation instructions supplied with the dishwasher. Generally four screws are fitted to the inner edge of the door, once these are removed on some doors there are additional fixings that mean the panel then will slide a few millimetres and lift off.

The dispenser generally has only two electrical parts. The solenoid coil that is used to release the tablet draw, and the rinse aid level switch. If the switch was not connected it would still function the same but the control panel would have the rinse aid light would not indicate the rinse aid level.
