High-Quality Replacement Fan Oven Element - 2000W
Oven elements fail when the internal element filament burns out which can cause the element to short circuit. There may be visible signs the element has blown such as a split, bulge, or blowhole on the element. Other signs of a failed element include; the oven not heating up, the oven blowing out cold air or bright spots during use.
Make sure your cooker or oven is heating up correctly by replacing your faulty circular oven element, with the help of eSpares.

Please check the list of suitable models to ensure that this spare part will fit your appliance.
Please note: This is a 'new style' fan element and will require the following adjustments for 'old style' cavities (pre Nov 2006). 2x fixing screws (899370148) are required as the fixing studs are no longer present. The nuts from the previous element should be retained and reused as these are not supplied. When the element is screwed onto the cavity, the Earth wire should be attached or secured to one of the nuts as the Earth connector is no longer present, alternatively use a ring tag. When connecting this element please isolate the earth lead (if your cooker has one) as the element will be earthed when screwed back onto the cooker.

- When you take the old one off, use a couple of clothes pegs on the ends of the wires/spade connectors to stop them springing back into the oven. It's an appliance out and back off the unit recovery if you lose a wire inside!
- Its really super simple, unscrew guard in oven, unscrew the screws holding the element in place and there are 2 electrical clips attached to the element. Carefully pull the clips out one by one and re- attach to the new element, screw back in place and oven is ready to go.
- take to screws on back plate out revealing the element take 2 screws holding it on and take element out taking off the earth and live wire putting these back on new one and reverse op its easy and could save you pounds
- very easy to fit.

Hi Pillpusher, attached is a link to a video on how to fit a fan oven element. While the demo is for a different brand, the general process remains very similar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZy8HBwSzos Hope this helps.
Where would I find the model of my in built Whirlpool cooker as there is no indication of it everywhere I have looked! 3 Answers
I have newly acquired this property and have no instructions for the cooker. The element needs replacing but I cannot find the model number of the cooker anywhere. Would there be a part of the cooker it would be engrained on? It's not on the front as it should be. Please advise. Thanks
- should be on a sticker on the inside of the oven, open the door and look down the sides, it should be thereabouts (unless it has fallen off).

Hi Mebel, Here's our guide to finding your cooker model number, I hope this helps! http://www.espares.co.uk/findingmodelnumbers.aspx#a1 There are lots of places that the data plate could be hiding.
- On most ovens the model number is found by dropping down the oven door the number is usually on a small s/steel plate in one of the bottom corners
Please clarify wattage and measurements (diameter, connections apart distance, screw holes). An earlier reply contradicts with the description in the text. The part number method is not always the best.
- the description of the element was perfectly satisfactory these parts are of a standard design and as long as the appliance is listed that you wish to fit it to then size diameter e.t.c does not apply
- this product is exactly the same size and measurements to one being replaced in a whirlpool fan oven AKZ161/03/1X. Two prong connection very easy to fit.
This was sold as suitable for my Smeg SUK91MFX but it doesn't have a spade fitting for the earth connection. 1 Answer
why does this not have an earth spade and how do I earth it?
-
Chris at eSpares says...
The original element is no longer available. Smeg now supply an ellement that is not earthed directly, it will be earthed by the fixing screws to the cavity.

On some models there will be an earth connection directly to the element. Most elements are earthed through the fixing screws directly to the metal of the cavity.
