I have a DC59 Animal Stick Handheld, it charges fine and when I go to use it stops working after 30 secs with an amber light showing, it will start again for 10 secs before doing the same - do I need a new battery or what could be the problem? Thanks!

We are aware that amber light is to indicate a fault with the battery. This can be due to the machine becoming too hot (possibly caused by a blockage). We would recommend removing any area that could become blocked and inspect for debris. Along with cleaning the bin, cyclone and filter if unfortunately your DC59 continues to pulsate then a new battery may be required.
