Main Oven Thermostat - 55.17069.030 Stock Number: ES548684
Genuine spare part for select models of Neff, Bosch and Siemens cookers
I checked inside the main oven and the only visible tube at the top back of the oven disappears out the LHS of the oven. The other end is flattened, bent and then appears to be riveted to the back of the oven. This is nothing like the one shown in the video. The suggested replacement doesn't look like this either. There are no clips to be seen. How do you replace this kind?
- What you see riveted to the casing is a shell. The probe is inside this and will pull out from the rear without disturbing the fixed element. There may be a small clip at the end securing the probe inside the tube.

Most thermostat phials on ovens are held by spring steel clips and these clips are often riveted to the oven cavity. Try prising the phial out as although tight it will have either got to come off or be drilled out to remove it.
I have replaced a faulty oven element with a new one, the old element is clearly blown, the new element however does still not heat at all, the rest of the cooker works, fan, light, main panel, could it be the thermostat that has also been damaged ?? 1 Answer

The thermostat disconnects from the selector when you pull it from the back, make sure you have disconnected the cooker first.
Should my oven element look red hot through the vent slots,or is the thermostat faulty.I don’t recall it looking so hot with previous element? 1 Answer

The element would not normally look red hot, check the fan is working correctly as it supplies airflow over the element and make sure the thermostat is cycling
My Neff U1721N2GB/05 starts to get warm, the Red thermostat light comes on then after a couple of minutes the main power cuts out at the cctbrker. 1 Answer
Could this be the thermostat? looks like it is riveted to the main thermo selector S/W? Can you help?

The most likely reason for the trip to go out is the heating element, check this first before suspecting anything else.
the element on the lower oven stopped working and had gone open circuit I bought another one and fitted it and the oven worked as it should but after about two minutes the circuit breaker in the consumer unit tripped so I checked everything and could not find any problem with the wiring / fitting of the element so I bought another element and the same thing happens, im suspecting problem with the thermostat but before I purchase one could you advise if you have come across this fault before and if you think it is the stat Thanks

Please view our advice centre page which will give you more information on this matter, http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145 The model in this video may be different to yours, however the process should be similar for other makes and models.
Be riveted to the back wall of the oven at one end.maybe it is a stud and secured from behind. Any comments would be appreciated.

The thermostat phial is usually attached to a metal spring clip. Usually this will twist out from the clip for replacement.
When the Fan Oven is switched on and set to a temp usually out 200 C it switches off after about 15 minutes and blows the circuit breaker and RCD. Could this be a thermostat problem or another element part ? The Mini Oven works without any problem.

It is more likely to be the element that is failing rather than the thermostat itself. You may only be able to prove this by replacing the part.
Hi,my heat element blew,so I changed it,the red light comes on and the fan works but I still have no heat, could the problem be the thermostat or the heat element resistor.many thanks. 1 Answer

The problem could be the element or a thermal cut out (if fitted) that may be close to the top of the oven in the back. For information on your repair see our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145
