We recommend checking that the drain hose is fitted correctly with a drain hose u-bend fitting, as water can siphon back up the hose into the drum. For further information please see our advice centre article: www.espares.co.uk/advice/symptom/washing-machine-overfilling-with-water
I removed the valve checked both coils which are ok but what make the solenoid open where is supply from ?

If you have metered the valves have a typical resistance of around 4000 ohms, check wiring from the board before suspecting the board is not supplying power.

Inlet valves will have a typical resistance of around 4000 ohms but any reading between 2000 and 6000 is likely to confirm the coil is OK.

Unfortunately the dispenser and valve are sold together for your appliance and are not available seperately.
When cold water is being taken in, at each pause of intake I get a loud judder vibration noise which resounds round the house. Very deceiving makes pipes shake is this cold water valve solenoid causing the problem ?

We cannot give out technical advice unfortunately. Please contact an engineer for advice.
I am trying to replace a blown valve from a Hotpoint WT960P. The part that seems to be listed for this model on various websites is incorrect as it has the water inlet in the wrong place. This part (41707P) seems identical apart from the electrical connections being in different places. Do you think it would work as a replacement? Thanks.

Hi Matty1 The cold water valve for your Hotpoint WT960P washing machine can be found here: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/washing-machines/indesit/p/1085/805/0/0/800309/cold-valve.html Don't worry, this is definitely the right part!
Will this part fit my appliance?
