Multifit Cooker Control Knob - Matt Silver Stock Number: ES1667291
Compatible matt silver control knob for use with all cookers, ovens and hobs
- I cannot understand if this universal could be used, so how come it does not match either you can use it or it does not fit. Mind you we are dealing with gas so we have to be safe .

The correct knob for your hob is Stock Number: ES1094173 This universal could be used but will not match.
The original oval cover on the function selector has disintegrated but the switch is still working. Thank you

Technically these knobs fit but how am I supposed to light the gas hob when there's no spring and my previous knobs had springs so I could push them in. 1 Answer

You would normally use the spring from the old knob when replacing it.

If you had ignition before it suggests it's something you have done during replacement but check the ignition switch to make sure it has not failed.
Are the spindle all the same length or as they are shown in the picture, different lenghts ? 1 Answer

I believe my hob is a NWGHU601. It's a stainless steel hob. Have bought knobs from you before, but can't see them on your stock list now. Will these knobs be suitable for a hob? They look more like oven knobs? Thanks 1 Answer
My old order number was 4302982. I bought an oven knob and a hob knob. Part numbers were...STVO82625731 and STVO82875103 . This is in 2014 . Now I want 4 silver HOB knobs. Thanks

This universal control knob is silver in colour and also comes with 3 different sized spindles to help you fit it to your cooker/hob.

These knobs do not have an adapter for 8mm shafts but the 6mm adapter could possibly be filed open to accept this larger size or you could make an an adapter using a filler.
What are the dimensions of the largest spindle? (Diameter and short diameter of the internal fitting) 1 Answer

The large adapters are 30 mm long and can accept 'D' shafts of 3.9mm, 4mm, 6mm and round 4 mm shafts. However part of this goes into the knob so it is recommended the control shaft should not be more than 7mm below the surface.
