A better solution for cleaning showers may be Stock Number: ES1640011
- Limescale remover spray from a supermarket. Own brand is likely to be cheaper. For mild "clouding", white vinegar will work well.
- Try a small steam cleaner with the glass protector head in place. Lifts most stuff in a kitchen and from taps

This product is a descaler for your kettle and steam iron only.
I have a water softner and although I don't have to descale, the inside of the iron and kettle is brown and the iron bubbles out brown water. Will Oust clean them?

My Karcher needs descaling but unsure what amount of Oust I need to use.

We would advise to check the manufacturer’s instructions before use, as some manufacturers may not recommend descaling. We would recommend 1 capful of Oust diluted with water, and flushing the appliance with water after use.

We believe small quantities of this product should not significantly effect a septic tank but suggest you may wish to confirm this before use with your sewage company.

This product should be suitable for steam cleaners but remember to empty and flush after with clean water.
I have a push button Cistern flusher on top of the cistern and the plastic water filling gadgets inside the cistern have clogged up with Limescale leading to the valves not closing tight and the cistern overfilling. a) can this be used in cold water or would it need hot? b) is this product suitable or should I use something else? I'm no plumber although I don't mind taking things apart to clean them, trouble is anything I touch attached to water seems to end up flooding somewhere so some kind of cleaner which doesn't require dismantling the contents of the cistern is preferable. Thanks

If there is limescale in the valve unit if you dismantle and place the parts in a container of hot water with this it should help remove it. However the usual cause of a leaking ball cock is the seal perishing and becoming hard.
