The front thermostat is located in the volute section of the dryer at the front of the machine.

Yes that would be the next to check. It is usually mounted just inside above the door opening on the drum support. Open and look upwards to unscrew it.
I know where to find the heater and the 2 stats above it but where and what is the 'front thermostat'. Could that be why my machine won't heat up. Should I replace all three, i.e. heater, 2 stats above it and the 'front' one, too? Can't find a video for replacing the front one.

The front thermostat Stock Number: ES131859 is fitted above the door at the front in the plastic moulding that supportd the front of the drum. It is not clear on the exploded diagram but many of these type of thermostats are fitted from inside the drum by unscrewing the two fixings screws and lowering into the drum to disconnect.
I can find the 2 thermostats (ES487865) at the rear of the machine but I keep seeing reference to a front thermostat (ES131859) on the drum, which I can't locate. My Crusader's serial number is 57100269.

If your date code is less than 65 you need Stock Number: ES551252 If your date code is more than 64 you need Stock Number: ES487865 These are normally mounted on a bracket directly above the heater element at the back under the heater cover.
all the filters are clean and the water tank is empty

when it stops check the pump has been emptying the reservoir at the back. If the float switch sticks or is raised it will turn off the heating to prevent flooding.
