This type of pump does twist off.
My dishwasher drain pump is leaking so I suspect it could be the seal. Does this new pump come with a new seal as well?

The drain pump does come with the seal already on the pump.
The drain pump appears to drain all the waste water ok but when the m/c is opened later to reload there is water back in the bottom of the m/c. Do'es this mean water falling is back from the drain pump. 1 Answer
The dishwasher a BEKO DWD4311W m/c. I have checked the inlet connection hose to see if the tap is leaking water when the m/c is not in use and this seems to be ok. Any ideas please.

The main reason for the dishwasher to fill when not in use is the valve has failed, if it is dirty water it is backfilling through the drain hose.
The dishwasher is not emptying, and overflows. The waste pump is clear of blockages but the overflow unit on the base cover has burnt out. I have not tested the resistance of the pump. Could you please give me your thoughts on the problem.

It does not matter with an AC motor of this type as it can only turn in one direction.
BEKO DE 2542 FW dishwasher. Problem occurred on return from holiday. We had forgotten to turn off the water supply although the dishwasher was unplugged from the mains. The bottom of the washer was full of water with a small quantity escaped on the floor of the kitchen. When we switched on the machine the pump activated and cleared the water but will not stop pumping. Can't begin a new programme.

There is likely to be water in the base of the cabinet. See our diagnosis video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/3/1889/how-to-diagnose-draining-and-motor-problems-in-a-dishwasher
