Oven Lamp Cover Remover Tool - 63mm Stock Number: ES1123507
Removal tool for removing the oven light cover on most Bosch, Neff and Siemens cookers
The Lamp Cover remover tool has just been delivered. Neither of us are able to turn it and remove cover. Is there a technique/trick to this? Thank you.
- I tried first by hand no go ,so I put on a pair of rubber gloves no problem the cover unscrewed without difficulty PS the oven was only 6 months old I am now going to look for a better designed bulb with an improved filament
- Hi Gadgetmad. When the oven is cold, Play the hot air from a hair dryer over the glass surface for a few minutes. Start off on a low heat first. This should expand the glass cover a little to release the bond. This tip is a bit late as I have just seen your post.
- I just bought one of these gizmos before Xmas and it did the trick immediately. No messing. Worked first time. You have to line up the 'fins' on the glass cover to the recesses in the gizmo. It is quite a secure fit when you get it on. It should just slide on and a sharp twist ANTI clockwise should do it. Make sure you are turning it to the left as you look at the light. Perhaps the glass housing is stuck on with oven / cooking deposits? Try some oven cleaner to free it perhaps? Good luck.

This does fit a u1644 model but may not fit all Bosch Neff or Siemens ovens.

We are not aware of a removal tool for Miele ovens. If it is stuck use WD40 around the edge when the oven has been warmed and hold a tea towel over the lamp lens when removing to help grip.
will this device work on a glass cover that has sheered off, leaving just the part that screws in? 1 Answer

No, with safety glasses on wrap a tea towel or cloth around a piece of wood to push into the glass and turn it to unscrew.

No this is only suitable for Bosch, Neff or Siemens lamp covers. Spray WD40 around the edge and warm the oven and 'bump' the lens with the side of your hand before trying to unscrew it using a cloth to protect your hand.
