when the door is opened the lever that fits into the cooker body needs to be 'locked' in the open position, we think there may be 'holes' that a small nail or drill bit can pass through to lock the hinge open. Then as you carefully lift the door closed it will push the lever tips down and allow them to unhook and slide out of the cooker.

We believe the hinge can be 'locked' in the open position by either a clip near the fulcrum or a pin inserted through the body. The door then can be lifted gently to release the hinge arms and allow them to slide out of the oven surround.

We do not have details but think the difference may be ES1118340 is for the top oven and may have weaker springs fitted than this hinge.

Answer this question

I've just ordered two new replacement hinges but would like to know the best method of removing the old broken ones and fitting the new ones. Have tried searching for an exploded parts diagram without any luck.

No this hinge is just for the lower oven. Here is the link for the top oven hinge: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/cookers-and-hobs/belling/p/1092/154/0/0/923829/hinge-top-oven.html
