Providing the balls do not fill with water is should not be a problem to add these when washing.

We do not have an optimal amount available but from personal experience two dryer balls seem to disperse the clothing and help dry the load sufficiently.

The life of the Tumble Dryer balls can vary Depending on how often they are used and how heavy the load is. They last a reasonable amount of time.

Yes the drying temperatures of your dryer should be the same as a electric dryer or it would damage the clothing.

Although this is not listed on the packet we do not think in our opinion that it should cause any problems.
