You should get a reading when the switch is pressed and nothing when it is up and off.
The brush on/off button has become stiff and the brush is now not working on my DC25. Is this a reset switch that needs replacing? 1 Answer

We believe the switch that is sticking is likely to be Stock Number ES1085099
My brush will not turn. I have checked the assembly he4ad and the rubber band is not broken or damaged. I don't know how to check if It is the reset button that I need to replace or the assembly head. 1 Answer

There is a little switch on the left (as looked at when using) of the body as it meets the ball that operates when the wheels/stand is raised to turn on he brushes. Check this switch is not stuck or jammed.

This is a motorised head and there can be many reasons why it is not working but check the switch that turns the brushes off when upright, this is on the upright duct assembly as it attaches to the ball, yolk and motor.

The beater bar is stopped when the machine is in the upright parked position. The switch is operated by the rear stabilizer wheels ant turns on as these are 'lifted' up.
Will this part fit my appliance?
