Dishwasher Heater Element Stock Number: ES1063008
Genuine spare part suitable for select models of Hotpoint and Indesit dishwashers
I have a Hotpoint FDF784 showing error code A-8. Water barely gets warm. Heater element checks out ok on multimeter. I suspect thermostat/thermistor, but where is it located? Is it integral to the connection block of the heater unit? 2 Answers
- Thanks Chris (Couldnt see a way to reply to you direct) On further testing, ive found that the bimetal thermostat fitted to the heater module is not opening circuit when hot. I have had this connected to a continuity meter and heated the unit with a heat gun. I can hear the thermostat trip when hot, and likewise hear it click again when it cools, but the meter shows it remains a short circuit either way. I can physically force it open with a probe. With this in mind, would you suspect the heater unit in its entirety? Cheers

A8 indicates the heat has not risen enough in the allowed time. Unfortunately if the heater is OK the problem is likely to be the control module Stock Number ES1329672

There should be a two pin connection to the socket on the right side of the middle image. If this is connected the 'extra' plug may be fitted to a float switch in the bottom of the cabinet.
The dishwasher washes Ok but intermittently does not dry completely as if the temp is not hot enough,When this happens a fault code 8 appears. I suspect the thermostat is not working intermittently,Would you suspect this to be the case?

We believe error code F08 refers to temperature timeout fault, check the heater before suspecting anything else.

The heater is attached to the end of the wash pump motor. It turns and locks onto the motor, you can access the heater from under the appliance.
Has anyone fitted a heater element to Indesit dishwasher IDF 125 ?

Many times, The motor and heater twist off but tend to require a lot of force to twist. If you pull the hose off the spigot lubricate the new hose with a smear of washing up liquid and you should be able to carefully push on the new hose.
Will this part fit my appliance?
