washer will come on first time but when i leave down the lance and the go back to start again washer will not start up again for ages. 1 Answer

If this part is sticking it may not return to the on position stopping the motor.

We do not have details but it is likely to be a safety valve if excessive pressure is occurring it will prevent damage.
Also would this being stuck in results in the power switch not engaging
