This replacement oven element is a genuine part and manufactured for select Smeg cookers.
Please note: this is a 'new style' fan element and will require the following adjustments for 'old style' cavities (pre Nov 2006).
- 2x fixing screws (899370148) are required as the fixing studs are no longer present
- The nuts from the previous element should be retained and reused as these are not supplied
- When the element is screwed onto the cavity, the Earth wire should be attached or secured to one of the nuts as the Earth connector is no longer present, alternatively use a ring tag
When connecting this element please isolate the earth lead (if your cooker has one) as the element will be earthed when screwed back onto the cooker.
Please note: this part is serial number dependent, please contact our Call Centre with your full model and serial numbers to ensure this is the correct element for your oven.
This is Smeg Spares reference number: 806890397

- I think it's the same as my cooker and I bought this one and fitted it myself. Try removing the old one first and make a note on which wire goes where, mine was red wire on the right hand side. Take photos and remember to take the plug out 1st. Then ya can compare the image to the one you have, michelle

Hi there I am trying to replace the fan elements in my Smeg SUK91MFX oven but I am having some problems. The replacement coil (seen above) has two connectors like the old one, however each connector on the new one has two prongs (like the the one above), the old one just has a single prong (see image attached). How do I fit it? Many thanks! /malin

Hi Promprom, I'm afraid we only ship to UK addresses. If you have a friend or relative in this country we'd be happy to send an order to them for you.
Hi, I am trying to remove the fan element beofre purchasing a new one to make sure that this is the issue. However, I can't remove the screws that are holding it in, I think that they are 5.5mm hex, but the socket keeps slipping and ruing the socket pieces as they are done up very tightly. I have tried 5mm and 7/32" but with no luck Has anyone else had that problem? (Just to check I am turning anti-clockwise :-)) Thanks,
