every time i use the dryer option on my hotpoint wd440g it trips the fuse. Any ideas on what the fault may be ? 1 Answer

The problem is likely to be the dryer element, there are two types fitted Stock Number: ES215164 and Stock Number: ES956494. Dismantle and check which type is fitted and if there is any signs of burn or damage to the element.
I have replaced this dryer element the thermostat has been tested and is ok but dryer still will not heat up. Have I missed something 1 Answer

Hi Dave, first thing to would be to double check that your new element is connected properly - it might be worth removing it and fitting it again. Also, check all the electrical connections to make sure they are definitely fitted correctly. Failing that, it could be a sensor or the PCB - if this is the case you'll probably see an error code or flashing lights on the control panel. The last thing it could be is burned wires; check all wires for signs of burn damage. Good luck!
