I've got the new cutting head but can't even work out how to get the old cutting head off the flymo contour 500? Help needed please

look inside the shaft hole to see if there are screw threads. We suspect it is necessary to lock the motor or gearbox and then unscrew the cutting head off the drive shaft.

Unfortunately we don't list replacement head for this model
Having just purchased a Power Trim 700 cutting head, could you please advise me how to remove the old cutting head from my Flymo. I'm looking at it at this moment and haven't a clue. Many thanks. Regards Babs.

Hi Babs, I'm going to refer you to fellow customer esemgee's instructions on how to remove and replace a cutting head: 'Just undo all the screws and the head is exposed. It might be helpful to know that to take the old head off you need to unscrew from the shaft, there is a slotted end that takes a slotted screwdriver at the opposite end of the shaft, overall fairly easy.' I hope this helps!
