Fridge Evaporator Compartment Door

Your refrigerator features an evaporator compartment that sits at the very top of the appliance and its purpose is to store meats and other frozen foods.

If you overextended the little door for your freezer compartment and it snapped off then you can simply replace the broken part with this genuine LEC spare door and enjoy a fully working appliance once again.

  • MAKE SURE YOU ORDER A PLASTIC RIVET WHEN YOU ORDER THIS DOOR AS YOU HAVE TO CUT OUT ONE OF THE ORIGINAL RIVETS TO INSTALL THE NEW ONE,!!!.........I also thought i would have problems....funnily enough i used to work for Lec on the production line in Bognor fitting these exact doors on to 1300 fridges a day.!! there is one plastic rivet on the right side of the frame...slip a knife behind the plastic housing of the thermostat dial boxing and door frame and cut the rivet off...the frame should then come out. take one of the pins that hold the freezer compartment door outshould come out with the tap of a hammer or with a screwdriver...fit in left side of the NEW door into the frame making sure you have the spring in place....refit the rivet on the other side. install the complete frame and door back into the fridge making sure that the freezer compartment is in the door housing correctly.....put in a new rivet where the old one was. • Better late than never!! remove the ice box frame.there are two plastic lugs on the inside right edge of the frame.slice through these with a knife then gently pull frame to the right as the other side of the frame has 2 pins holding it in place. You then fit the spring back onto the door and frame it is a job for needle nose pliers.then put the door and frame back relocating the 2 existing pins then use 2 new plastic lugs to replace those you cut earlier By Antigua-10 - Coulsdon Surrey - 21 July 2011
