There are two buttons on the Grey tube - one at the top and one at the bottom. Which one is this part for? I need to replace the one at the bottom that controls the sliding metal section.

Does this part replace the button at the top end of the tube where it connects to the handle, or at the bottom where it connects to the silver extension tube?
