I had a Hotpoint dryer model TVM55A. When drum reverses from anti clockwise to clockwise it reverses straight away. When drum reverses from clockwise to anti clockwise it starts to run slow clockwise but then does eventually reverse to anti clockwise. Can you advise on the part to rectify this problem. I have bought and changed the drum bearing kit and although it did need changing this has not cured the problem. When the drum is running slow in the clockwise position before reversing into the anti clockwise position I can see the red heater elements through the back of the drum. As I have not had any reason to look into the drum before, is this normal.

I've got a Hotpoint TVM55A dryer and I could hear it shorting out and the smell of burn plastic. Opened up and sure enough, the above part had burnt out. Can't see a direct replacement apart from obscure websites offering used parts. Is this an alternative part or am I looking a the wrong item. I've got the 12hr delay timer, then the tumble dryer timber and this is then next to it.
