DO I NEED TO PUT ANY TYPE OF GLUE ON THE FILL HOSE BEFORE ATTACHING TO DRUM? Part No:ES742423

We believe that normally you do not to use any glue to fit these hoses unless the manufacturer has used a glue to seal the outside of the hose to the tub.
the new part that i received has not got a plastic white ring. can i use the old one , and is there a picture somewhere that i can see how exactly is fitted , many thanks
