Yes there will be a self adhesive covering on one side to fit this in position.
I bought this part thinking it was the defroster heater for the "Evaporator" I found it very confusing as there are 3 or 4 instances of defrost heater

We usually will use the manufacturers listings for the component description and where a product is manufactured in a non english speaking country translation can some times be vague. We think this is a 'Gutter heater' from the picture and have added to the parts description.
