Answer this question

Currently the drier is taking an age to dry clothes - the drier does still get warm. I am doing a continuity test on this heating element. There are 5 wires - white, black, 2 light blue and one red. Between white and red I get a reading - and the beep. White and blue no reading The black & white no reading Black and red no reading Black and blue no reading Which wires above should give me a reading - but does not.

  • Dont mess with the electrics if you are not qualified. Think of your family , if god forbid your wife or partner was to put the machine on at night and the the machine caught fire. Its not worth it By Homa - Manchester - 22 March 2012

I checked the heating element an it looks in a bad way. After a clean the dryer heats up, but after a few minutes stops heating. If the heater element includes thermostats I thought I might as well replace the whole unit.
