You will need to check the thermostat, make sure it is cycling before testing the overheat thermostats, we also have a video to help www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lWk22-qvoI&t just copy and paste into your browser.
When switching on oven it is now tripping house RCD never had this problem before ?

The problem is likely to be the element, go to our advice centre for further details and enter your 'symptom'.
Have fitted a new element to my electrolux cooker, model number EKC603601X, but still not working. Old one did go with a very large flash and sparks. Could something else in the cooker have been damaged. 1 Answer

Try to check the temperature with a oven thermometer to confirm it is not low. It may be the thermostat that is out of range causing low cooking temperatures if you are used to the oven and the performance has changed.
