The right hand side element of my Rangemaster electric grill has packed up. If I order the element, how do I get access to fit it? If it isn't the element then what else could have packed in? The left hand side still lights up and works.

If you can see the screw head that is fixing the element bracket to the back it may be possible to remove the element from the inside without removing the back panel. It is possible the control may have failed but it is usually the element that is the cause.

Sometimes when the grill is turned off, the power supply trips off on the distribution board taking with it everything else via the RCB on the board. Do you know whythis might occur? 1 Answer

The likely reason is a break down of the grille element. Replace the element first as this should resolve the problem and may not be able to prove without a Megger see video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145/how-to-diagnose-problems-with-your-oven
I cant get the 3 screw galvanised cover off because of the gas pipe that runs a cross the middle of it. Any suggestions please.

It is important to not interfere with any gas pipework unless you are qualified as even a small leak could lead to an explosion. If you cannot maneuver the back plate out of the way to access the element we would encourage you to arrange for a professional to carry out this repair.
the space is a bit tight. Any tips for pulling off the connectors from the old element without damaging them? Can't really get a decent angle for normal pliers. Thanks

Hi rogtheone, you'll just need to get the oven in to a big open space, removed from its cavity, if it's sitting in one. There's no real trick to this - you just have to do your best with the space you've got!
