The ends and motor should be removeable. lubricate the motor bearings when reassembling with a suitable oil.
Neff D8902 cooker hood. Sometimes it runs normally. Sometimes on switch-on the motor hums but does not rotate. Which part(s) need replacing? Thank you.

It may be the motor bearings are sticking so check when not starting if the fan turns easily or is stiff to turn.
do i need an electrician to fit a new motor to my neff extractor fan,or is it easy enough to fit myself (DC8602NOGB 05) 1 Answer

It is likely you will need to remove the hood from the wall to replace the motor and you may need to resolder or crimp some connections. If may wish to remove the hood and examine it irst before deciding on repairing yourself.
