I am attempting to replace a broken tacho magnet on a washing machine motor manufactured by AEG. The dimensions of the broken magnet are approximately: inner diameter of 8.3mm, outer diameter of 19.1mm, and width of 8.1mm. Thank you for any help that you can provide!

The original magnet on my Hoover AI130 seems to have split and rotates freely on the motor shaft. Is it straightforward to replace this with a new taco magnet?
- Yes, you may need to temporarily remove the Taco coil to allow you to remove the bit of the original magnet, but once this is done the new magnet can be mounted on the shaft using Araldite or similar. Do wait for the glue to be completely dry, as there is both heat and vibration on the shaft of the motor.
