Q1. Do you have an illustrated parts list for Karcher KB402 pressure washer "electric control box"? Some time ago I replaced the capacitor, and when replacing the control-box cover cover I was unable to refit all the parts! Although it appeared to work, it has since suffered from constant on-off cycling when it's switched-on but the lance is not in use. I have just replaced the pressure head, hoping that would cure the problem. It didn't. I now believe the pressure feedback mechanism is failing to correctly operate. Having looked at a similar illustrated parts list, I may have lost a moulded plastic part (possibly 9.036-381.0). I would be very happy if all I have to do is fit a "complete" cover.

There is pictures of both sides of this cover to show what is included. I have seen the problem you are suffering and concluded this is likely to be due to the high pressure building as it should to turn off the pump but then this high pressure fading and allowing the switch to turn the motor on. No other fault would allow the pump to create the high pressure to stop the motor and allow it to restart. Therefore it is a mechanical pump leak (internally) that allows the gun pressure to drop without an external leak. If it was the pump to motor seals it would have to leak externally. It therefore suggests it is the valve that allows water into the pump that is allowing the pressure to run back into the supply hose.
Are there different versions? I can take a picture of mine if it would help?

Hi Paulff, there are different versions of cover. If your part number is listed, this will definitely fit!
