Tumble Dryer 6 Rib Poly-Vee Drive Belt - 1991H8PHE
If the drum in your tumble dryer is not spinning correctly, it could possibly leave your clothes damp at the end of the cycle. This could happen if there is an issue with the drive belt.
Over time, the belt in your tumble dryer will become smoothed or stretched, which will have a negative impact on the performance. eSpares has this replacement belt, that could soon be yours to help get the drive system of your tumble dryer back to how it used to be.
The Poly-Vee belt (ribbed belt) looks like a flat belt, but has V-shaped ribs along the inside surface for better friction force between the drive system and the belt.
With help from eSpares, you will soon be back to a fully working tumble dryer and nice dry clothes!
Specification:
- Type: Poly-Vee
- Length: 1991mm
- Type of ribs: H
- Number of ribs: 6
- Elasticity: PHE
Please note: This part has been updated from a 8 rib belt to a 6 rib belt to reduce the amount of original belt breaking.
Genuine spare part for select models of Hotpoint, Indesit and Ariston tumble dryers.

Polyvee drive belt-1991EPH For Hotpoint TCFS73BGP(UK)
- The video makes this look easy; it is not. The belt is extremely tight. To pull the belt over the pulley, I used the old belt and tied the two broken ends together and placed it around the new belt. By pulling on both sides you can get sufficient force on the new belt to pull it over the pulley. Please note, there are two possible directions the belt can travel around the pulley. Take the hardest route ie. facing the motor, the back of the belt must pass over the front of the pulley. If you do it the other way, it is easier, but the belt will rub on the plastic casing and disintegrate in months.

We Have a belt replacement video on a Hotpoint which should be helpful www.youtube.com/watch?v=snWjzoV6HjI just copy and paste into your browser.
I purchased a new belt from you for the above mentioned condenser dryer but I cannot get it on to the pulley wheel it looks like it's far too small. I have checked if it is the correct belt on your list and it is, so I think I must be doing something wrong. I have watched lots of your help videos but you don't have one for my particular model, most of the other models seem to have a spring tension which has to be disconnected in order to get the belt in the correct position but mine has no spring. Please could you give me some advice as to how I can do this.

This belt is a stretch belt and has to be stretched around the the tension pulley. This is very hard to stretch try passing over the spindle and leading on to the pulley then carefully turn the drum to pull it on and over the pulley.
