Hello, I have a Henry HVR200A with the serial number 113500949 which I carelessly used to suck up some water on a wet carpet in my car. The Henry stopped working shortly after. The red light illuminates when power is supplied but there is nothing happening with the motor. I've dried it out completely and there is no moisture but still not working. Does this sound like the motor has failed? If so, is this the right motor to replace it with? I look forward to your reply and advice.

Your cleaner has a motor control board Stock Number: ES1400718 that is likely to have been damaged by the water. Examine and replace if required.
Disassembled motor - on bottom nut loose with thin metal spacer plate above which attaches to inbuilt circular fan housing. Nut appears to have room for a washer? spacer? lock nut? I tightened nut - not too tightly as fan housing did not look strong. Re-assembled unit - worked but nut came off again. Is a part missing or can I use something like Locktite to keep nut in place or torque it up more? TIA CB.

We are sorry but do not have information on stripping down these fan units but using a high performance thread locking fluid may help.
