My AEG Favorit 40630 dishwasher is sticking on the wash cycle. When I switch it off and open it the water inside is cold so I suspect it is the heating element that is the issue. Could it be anything else? 1 Answer

If the water is heating to 80c then the heater is clearly working. It is possible the thermostat should allow the water to heat to 95c so try replacing the thermostat.
I have tried testing my old heater (which I suspect is faulty) with a multimeter across the heating element terminals. I believe that an open circuit here means that the element is broken - is this correct?

Hi there, an open circuit indicated on the multimeter would indeed suggest that the element is faulty.
