3 Questions and 3 Answers

Further to my earlier question on the same topic, I have taking the bin off, removed the post motor lid and Hepa filter and found four torx screws that hold the upper motor cover to the lower motor cover. If I take these screws off cann I simply remove the upper motor cover and replace it with the new one. (Needed because the front clip is broken on the cover meaning the filter cover does not stay on)

It should be possible to remove the top and leave the motor in the lower motor housing.

Answer this question

Going by the pictures, the DC07 motor cover looks like the housing for my DC14, & the DC 14 picture looks wrong, as it has brush guide is on the left like this picture and not the right, and the extra piece on the top left. Should i go by picture or model number, as by picture it is i definatley the DC07 part i need, not the DC14, which is what my dyson is, DC14 animal

Parts are always model specific, It is possible the DC07 part looked like the part you need, however it is most likely this part will not fit. The part you need is this: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/dyson/dc14-animal-steel%2flavende/p/1086/716/9/420516/545298/steel-upper-motor-cover.html?ms=907749-01
