1 Question and 1 Answer

My Dyson is not sucking as it should and even though I have cleaned the filters, checked hoses and seals. However a few seconds after I switch on there is a click and the suction is reduced. I wondered if the bleed valve was operating when it should not resulting in poor suction.

Hi there, the bleed valve prevents suction lock on the vacuum if the hose becomes obstructed - this prevents motor burnout. The bleed valve sounds like it could be a potential cause of your problem - my advice would be to take it out and fiddle around with it. Does it, or the part of the vacuum it's connected to seem damaged?
