  • I used a very flexible wallpaper stripping tool, and slid it in where the catch is. A bit of a push and hey presto. Washing out on line as we speak and part ordered. Great company and so helpful. Thanks for all the help in the past. Cheers! By Couttsie - Bempton - 05 April 2014

  • I'm not sure about the WM1485FHD machine I used this part to repair my machine which is a WM1480FHD and it work fine. I would expect this part to be common across all LG machines. To double check, if you remove the broken handle from your machine and compare it with the picture of the part (as I did) on the eSpares site, then you can make the comparison. Good luck. How do you get the back of the door off? To replace the door handle. I've undone the screws

  • On my machine, after removing the four screws, it was just necessary to pull the door apart. It was quite hard, the two halve seem to almost clip together, however with a bit of careful levering I got them apart. Note that it was easiest to remove the whole door from the machine first. Be careful to note where things go and which way round they are. By Dave - Bristol - 17 December 2010
