As far as we are aware this will not require a battery for operation.
I know this battery tester states Universal, but it doesn't mention rechargeable batteries. Will it work for the rechargeable batteries used in the garden for solar lights?

This only shows when a battery has a charge and will indicate on rechargeable batteries when charged.
