should the cooling fan for the fridge be always working? It has power running to it, is the any test I can do?

This should run unless the appliance is carrying out the defrost cycle and should be running if the 12 volts supply is present.
The model number of my fridge/freezer is BIAA12F. Is there any way of knowing if this will fit, and if not do you accept returns?
