The drum paddle is held in by clips on either side that have to be released first and then the paddle is moved towards you to release, if it is a newer version it will have a screw holding the underside that can be accessed through the sump hose underneath the machine.

We suspect these may be screwed from underneath as if they just slid and clicked in place the moulding would normally show clues to this. Try lying on its side and removing the sump hose to see if you can find and remove the screws. Note these are probably non magnetic and easily dropped in the drum.
