I bought this part from ebay but didnt resolve the issue, possibly cheap or faulty replacement. Are the symptoms typical faulty thermostat or could this be something else?

This could be the thermostat but also sounds like the oven FSD may not be working.
On our kenwood gas oven, after lighting the oven it some times go's off after ten minutes or so. 1 Answer
The grill also take's a long time to light and stay on.
