I have twice cracked plastic jugs blending hot soup and would like a pyrex type one
- The reason I need a new one is because I poured in soup that was too hot! Beware.....

It should be heat proof but avoid sudden heat changes by pre heating with hot water shortly before using boiling water.
What is the diameter of the bottom part of the jar. I am looking for a spare glass jar to replace a broken one.
