The one that I have got seems to leave black/grey streaks in my food, is this because I have put it in the dishwasher? Many thanks
- Mine did the same after many years of no bother so am replacing. The K beater was cover in a black deposit. Not sure if it is the capsule or what as I don't add salt as we have a water softener.

It is advisable to check with your dishwasher manufacture if you can use aluminium products, it has been known to cause issues from the salt.
K Beater spindle has broken and stuck. How do I get spindle out? I do not want order K beater if I can't get the spindle out. 2 Answers
- Two spindle ends. eSpares advice should work for non-threaded end. For the K-beater end that's not threaded, just use the manufacturer's spanner. Keep turning until the K-beater falls off the spindle. You might save yourself a tenner if you just need the shaft and the K-beater is OK.

Try spraying a releasing fluid like WD40 and allow to work before giving it a knock to break any corrosion. it then should be able to be turned and removed.

We cannot say for certain but it may be aluminium oxide, we would recommend you replace the beater.
